Challenge

Forbes India wanted to move away from traditional photo-led covers for these specials. The aim was to create covers that grab attention at first glance across print and digital touchpoints, feel fresh and unexpected, and still retain Forbes-level credibility.

Solution

Dreamjar approached the brief by turning the idea of modern education into visual storytelling. We avoided predictable imagery of classrooms and campuses. Instead, we created two illustrated magazine covers that captured imagination and progress.

Forbes India wanted a fresh visual approach for its special issues on Great Indian Institutes and Great Indian Schools. Both editions celebrate India’s evolving education landscape, but the team was keen to move away from their usual photo-led covers and try something unexpected.

We created the illustrated covers to capture how education today has outgrown the idea of classrooms and curriculums.

Learning now happens everywhere, in experiences, in conversations, and in the intersections of science, art, and play, no longer about memorising information but about exploring, experimenting, and finding connections that were once unseen. The covers had to capture that sense of energy and possibility, showing how modern education is as much about imagination as it is about intellect.

For Great Indian Institutes, we visualised a calm mind bursting with ideas, inventions, and possibilities, reflecting higher learning where knowledge takes shape through exploration and innovation. The design captured the essence of institutions that encourage depth of thought while staying open to the chaos of new ideas.

For Great Indian Schools, we built a lively robot juggling books, sports, music, and curiosity, symbolising how creativity and play now stand alongside academics. It celebrated a generation that learns by doing, mixing logic with laughter, and treating curiosity as its own subject.
