ET Telecom x Dreamjar: Winning at India's Best Design Awards 2023

On October 7, 2023, the India’s Best Design Awards were held at the Ritz-Carlton, Pune.

It felt good to be back in the room, among peers, conversations, and work that takes itself seriously. That evening, Dreamjar won for the rebranding of ET Telecom IPs. With this, our run at IBDA continues, we’ve been picking up wins here every year since 2019.

Backed by The Economic Times, ET Telecom is one of India’s most trusted platforms for telecom and technology dialogue, with an ever-growing ecosystem of flagship IPs including 5G Congress, Digital Telco, India Mobile Conclave, and the ET Telecom Awards. As the ecosystem expanded, each IP had evolved its own identity, but without a shared structure the system began to feel fragmented. ET Telecom needed a single, flexible framework that could bring everything together and still leave room to grow.

We built a brand identity system anchored by a simple idea: communication. The speech bubble became the constant across all IPs, while its inner form evolved to reflect the character of each initiative.

“When we started working on ET Telecom, it really was a blank canvas. A legacy brand, multiple IPs, and a clear need for a system that could grow without breaking. From an operations point of view, a lot of the early focus was on structure, asking whether the thinking would still make sense as more IPs came in. Watching the system slowly take shape across discussions, reviews, and rollouts was very satisfying. By the time IBDA 2023 came around, the work felt solid and complete. Receiving the award felt like a natural moment in that journey, from first conversations to something that now had recognition attached to it. Being there in the room with peers and ongoing design conversations added to it. I was still riding that high when I booked a flight to Goa the very next day.”
