Building Craze: An Award-winning identity for Swiss Beauty’s new multifunctional Makeup Range

Seven years, seven wins! 🏆

Dreamjar Studios is proud to announce its recognition at India’s Best Design Awards 2024 for the brand identity and packaging design of Swiss Beauty’s Craze product range. While this marks our seventh consecutive honour at IBDA, it only fuels our drive to paint vivid dreams via design derived through art and science.

Building Craze.

Swiss Beauty, an established brand in the make-up industry, approached us with a vision to create a Gen-Z driven identity for their new multi-functional make-up product range. The challenge was to capture the trendsetting generation with their uniqueness, grace, and quirk, making the product range stand out on its official marketplace.

The consistent use of the four-point star and sans-serif font across multiple platforms, while an illustration library of 40 customisable Craze Girl avatars allowed for flexible, unique visuals across the product range. The products on offer are compact yet multi-functional. Following this “form follows function” approach, we utilised Swiss design principles from the 1950’s to develop Craze’s brand identity.

She is Bold. Vibrant. Versatile.

The Craze Girl illustrations personify the modern woman across her multiple roles. Inspired by today’s young women’s vibrant and dynamic spirit, we designed Craze with bold colours, clean lines, and playful illustrations. The packaging was designed to be eye-catching and unique, reflecting Gen-Z traits while complimenting Swiss Beauty, its parent brand.

Craze witnessed visibly increased consumer attention online across social media platforms after its launch. The spirited packaging designs were especially acknowledged, receiving praise at par with the innovative products Craze offered. The resulting surge in sales continues to drive the project’s success home. From sketches to shelves, Craze has taken on a life of its own, and we’re glad to have been along for the ride.

And that’s how Craze, truly became one!
